                                                        Quick Facts

  1. Usually an ideal surface for bathroom applications

  2. Is somewhat softer than granite

  3. Needs to be cared for as you would a fine wood surface.

  4. Marble is especially susceptible to damage from citric acids, alcohols and oils.

  5. We recommend that a penetrating sealant be applied on a twice-yearly basis to help protect the marble from damage.
How Marble is produced?
Marble is what's known as a metamorphic rock. It was once limestone, but over time, with the combination of heat and pressure caused the limestone to re-crystallize. During this stage is often when foreign substances entered the stone creating a wide range of colors, textures, and veining.

Tips & Warnings
  1. Ask a professional to remove or repair a scratches, chips, & etc..

  2. Use coasters under all glasses, particularly those containing alcohol or citrus juices. Many common foods and drinks contain acids that will etch or dull the stone surface.

  3. Do not place hot items directly on the stone surface. Use trivets or mats under hot dishes and placemats under china, ceramics, silver or other objects that could scratch the surface.

  4. Do not use products that contain lemon, vinegar or other acids on marble or limestone. Strong detergents or corrosive liquids can dull the polished marble surface and should not be used.

  5. Don't use abrasive cleaners such as dry cleansers, scouring powders, or 'soft' cleansers

  6. Do not mix cleaning products such as ammonia and bleach together - the result is toxic.
